SUMMARY

The Surgical Technology Director is responsible for all aspects of the Surgical Technology program and its required clinical experiences students are enrolled in; the design, delivery, and evaluation of curriculum for the program in a safe and appropriate instructional space; and responsible for assisting students in finding positive related placement. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of program staff.

  1. Administration, organization, supervision of the program; and
  2. Continuous quality review and improvement of the program; and 
  3. Academic oversight, including curriculum planning and development. 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and manage program staff.  Responsibilities include departmental recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, assignment of duties, performance appraisal, and professional development.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary work environment is in a classroom environment that regularly requires employee to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Requires reliable, dependable and punctual attendance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
