Job Title:               High School CV Tech Counselor (Grant Funded)

Location:               CVTech Sending Schools within Canadian and Oklahoma counties

SUMMARY

Provide career guidance and counseling to students to assist them in making strategically informed decisions related to career and technical education.  Work with assigned sending schools and other agencies to coordinate related services.  Actively engages with all sending school grade levels promoting CV Tech programs. Provide assistance in determining occupational objectives suited to the desires, interests, and needs of the student. This position is grant funded and is dependent on annual renewal of funding.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree; Oklahoma State Department of Education Secondary Counselor's Certificate. Minimum of three (3) years secondary teaching experience or equivalent experience in a public school and/or Career Tech environment.  Preference may be given for experience working in an Oklahoma Technology Center.

 

Travel across the district is required; must possess a valid Class D Oklahoma driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience to operate district vehicles and maintain an acceptable driving record.

The primary work environment is in an office environment that regularly requires employee to sit for extended periods of time. Requires reliable, dependable and punctual attendance.
